The Steam Train receives several recognition awards

On September 27, 2018, The Middlesex County NAACP Branch held their 33rd Freedom Fund Annual Awards Dinner. Professor Donna Hylton, President of the STEAM Train Program, received the Economic Development Initiative Award. There were also six others who received awards at the dinner.

On April 16, 2018, MxCC was awarded a grant from the United Way Women’s Initiative for the STEAM Train’s Mobile Application Development Programming Camp for youth. The camp will be held at Middlesex Community College this summer.

On April 20, 2018, STEAM Train received the CT Entrepreneur 2018 Community Favorite Education Award.   http://ctentrepreneurawards.com/Awards/2018-Results-Community-Favorites

On May 9, 2018, the NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium, awarded Donna Hylton a Faculty STEM Education Programming Grant for STEAM Train’s Adventures in Learning STEM Camp.
