“I count it a privilege to participate in the STEAM Program.
I consider it an opportunity to broaden my mind and learn the new cutting edge skills of technology. It has been an exciting journey in this season of my life. I’m proud to be part of a team that is willing and patient in helping and encouraging one another. We refused to let anyone give up!” This new skill set has created a position for me as the webmaster for the Steam train site.  –Mary C. Haynes

I realized that being in the 21st century, a knowledge of computers would be golden. I started out not knowing what an ‘element’ was, and had no idea what a ‘tag’ was! However, the other young ladies in the class convinced me to stick it out. We worked hard together, learning from each other’s mistakes and tried to build on them. Now, after many headaches and failures, I hope to be able to take it to the next level! I could not have asked for a more patient and understanding leader, group of ladies, teacher, or teacher assistant! Thank you!” –Camille A. Smith

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful academy. I am also thankful for Pastor Donna, Ramona, and Tim for their patience throughout this ongoing process. Learning these skills will soon prepare us to head out into the workforce and gain better knowledge of STEM. At the end of the session, we were given an assessment test. I scored an 8/10 on both hands on and the written portion of the exam. I also was offered a job as an Apprentice Web Designer, and I am currently employed with SoundWeb!” –Brittany Marshall
